What do I need to know before engaging with JQP Design?
Design is a collaborative process – we do our best to understand what you are looking for, but we can’t read your mind! The more specific input you can give us, the more we can refine your design project to reflect your preferences / requirements. Why should I partner with JQP Design?
A successful marketing strategy has a lot of moving parts and we manage them all for you! You need to be creating high quality content regularly, posting to social media weekly, and analyzing your performance so you can adjust your strategy. Most business are too busy running their business and can’t keep up with all that needs to be done. We can help you find your target audience, develop a message that appeals to them, and create the content that attract new customers to your business. Furthermore, we have experience in the field, and can advise you on what would be the best approach.
How much does JQP Design charge?
There is a flat project rate for our most commonly requested projects and custom quotes for jobs with unique requirements. We discuss each new project with the client to determine the size and scope of the project, how much work will be involved, the timeline, the priorities, etc. Once we have a thorough understanding of your needs, we can propose a quote that will encompass all of your needs. We usually quote on set project fee, based on the initial scope, so that you know the costs up front.
Are fees negotiable?
Yes and no. Our fees are based on how much work will be involved in creating a successful result for you. Since we are not willing to compromise on the quality of our work, we cannot negotiate on our rates. However, if your budget is constrained, we can reduce the scope of the project, or break it down into smaller phases.
What does our initial consultation include?
The purpose of our first meeting is to get to know you, your business and your goals. We want to know everything about you and your business, from how the seed idea got you started, to what your current issues and needs are now. From there, we can get a better understanding of where you are coming from and what you hope to accomplish partnering with JQP. If we find that we are both interested in engagement, we will send you a proposal for the work to be developed and completed along with a discovery brief (questionnaire) about your business for you to fill out. We strongly believe mutual communication and understanding are essential to not only a successful project, but a great ongoing relationship.
What are JQP Design’s hours?
JQP Design business hours are Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm PT. Please contact us if those times don’t work for you and we may be able to arrange a call or meeting during off hours.
How long does a project take to complete?
That depends entirely on the project. One size does not fit all. A complicated, multi-phase project can take months, while a simple one can be done in a matter of days. Our ability to complete a project also hinges largely on your response time. We rely on your feedback to create a great piece of work, so the faster you respond to us, the sooner we can move forward. We will be able to discuss a more concrete time frame during your consultation.
How frequently do we need to be in contact?
Do we need to meet in person?
Once again, this depends a lot on the nature of the project. Some projects (ie: designing a logo) require more frequent check-ins, while others only need meetings a few times a year (ie: quarterly website maintenance). We would love to meet you at least once in person, but that is not required for us to work together. We can complete projects entirely over emails or phone.
Can we use our own printer, web master, copywriter?
Yes, of course! We are happy to coordinate with your chosen partners to complete a project. However, please keep in mind that you will be responsible for handling print issues, billing and delivery schedules once we have completed our portion of the project and delivered the files to your affiliates.
JQP Design: Photography
Photographs are valuable for different reasons as the usage and power of each image ranges in value to each client. Some photos require much more planning and production and require a larger photography budget to achieve the strategic image that hits all the target marks.
Headshots, group photos, food & product photography, strategic commercial photography, live event and concert photography are all different so they are priced accordingly. Contact JQP to get a custom quote on your next photography assignment.
JQP Design uses photography as an additional service to clients, expanding the value of our partnership with the ability to develop brand imagery that stays in line with objectives outlined in the discovery brief.
From web content development to on-brand photographs to be used in marketing purposes, website content, point of purchase displays or billboard advertising, all images are created specifically for client campaigns meeting their objectives.
Who owns the image copyright?
JQP Design retains all copyright ownership of every image created and clients are given certain usage rights. Usage rights are negotiated separately in the pre-shoot planning stage.
